This is very similar to the Pro-X series, which give a low and mid bass, but this speaker is designed to give you a mid-high effect. This features an upgraded cone material and has a raised surrounding edge. If you are looking for a full sounding system, these pair well with the Pro-X series but also works well on their own if you aren't worried about having a lot of low-mid bass.
